A keynote (marriage) proposal
March 10, 2008
Towards the end of his PostSecret presentation (which was incredible, by the way, but more on that later), Frank Warren invited audience members to share their secrets with the crowd. I managed to quickly grab my video camera as a guy proposed to his girlfriend.
It was a little nerve racking for a moment, as she took a while to get to the stage, but she finally got there and said “yes.” And he cried. And I cried. And Frank said some funny things.
Watch it.

How good is that? Looks like you have had an awesome time! What with the Armstrong / Leah meeting.

Ha, her “Yes” answer didn’t sound surprised but I guess she got to overcome that as she took 5 minutes to get on the stage. How great that you captured that :)

And now I cried.

I think the only thing that could make this more touching is if you’d been able to capture when he popped the question. (And, yes, I know you weren’t expecting it so we’re grateful you caught what you did) It was a big enough thing that C|Net mentioned it in their article about Frank’s keynote. Have to keep this idea in mind when I get around to wanting to ask the same sort of question.
