      A problem with college

      November 25, 2007

It’s interesting and disheartening that the only time I’ll be able to truly enjoy learning, without having the constant torment of insufficient finances that I need to make it through, will be after I’ve graduated and finished with higher education.

I guess we’ll just have to find more methods for learning. :)

I totally understand. And finances are the ONLY thing that really stresses me out. It is a real issue for many people, balancing the stress and retaining tons of information. The stress really does effect everything. Put a lottery ticket on your wishlist! :) Hope things get easier.

I started back to school about a year ago after 10 years off. I’ve found the more you make at your job is the more school bills rip ya. I do push myself harder knowing that it’s coming out of my pocket and not my parents this time around.

That same thought comes to mind every time I see the tuition I’m going to have to pay every new semester.

This is why I settled for the school I go to for free instead of the one that would have put me in the poor house.

I feel the same way. Why is it so expensive to get a better education? It’s not fair!

Being in grad school means I will be paying back debt until the day I die. Literally. Probably after.

Why is education freaking expensive when it is supposed to be a right?! ;S

I consider myself lucky that all throughout I had been/ is a scholar…now if only I can find time to do all of them…

I suppose that’s what textbooks are really for, possibly.

        That or traveling.

That’s why I’m going to a JC after I’ve graduated high school. I don’t know where you are going, but it certainly will save a lot of money. Well, until I transfer to a university.

I wish education were free. I’d be a professional student if I could. I hate that it’s so incredibly difficult to afford a good one. I feel like I’m being punished because I want to learn.

Shannon - I’ve already become somewhat addicted to Powerball.

Emma - You lucky scholar. I wish I had that option.

Margaret - I spent a whole few months recently regretting not going to a 2-year.

Jenn - That’s a good way of putting it.

I guess I’ve been able to bear the debt and still enjoy the learning… I guess that’s why I’m going to grad school in a country where everything costs double.
