Can you see the resemblance? It’s there. Look closer.

If you guessed Anne Boleyn, you were right! But really, I probably could have also presented myself as Mary, Queen of Scots or Katherine Howard with the same costume. Or, as Norm suggested, Nearly Headless Nick. But wow, you guys know your history! Gold stars for everyone! You’ve made me all tingly inside.
You can click here for a closeup of my slaughtered neck. I didn’t want to post the picture directly and give someone unaware of the context a panic attack. Hello, welcome to my website! Here’s my sliced neck!
There are a few more pictures in the set. I think I can finally let go of Halloween now, until next year.

AH! SO much fun! And your neck turned out crazy!

Yay. Wow, that is one sliced neck. Looked awesome.

I love that outfit!! :) Nice neck!
Coincidentally, I am about to start reading The Other Boleyn Sister…

Abby - The Other Boleyn Girl?! That’s one of my favorites! The Constant Princess is also amazing.

I totally lost. That is an amazing costume though. Well done on the gore!

I. love. it. What a great costume idea! It’s like the time I went as Lady Macbeth (I was a weird kid), but nobody got that. This has the crucial recognizability factor.

Christina - Lady Macbeth! That’s a great idea! Actually, that also reminded me of Ophelia. Hm. Time to start planning for next year.

Nice neck, but how is it that you never seem to be looking into or near the lens area of a camera?
P.s. I just threw out all my dishes.

Very nice wound you have there!
November 5th, 2007 at 12:43 am
Dan - Interesting observation. Mainly because people only take pictures of me when I’m least expecting pictures to be taken.
And I’m not buying you new dishes.

Bravo! I was planning on being a Murse… but alas, I couldn’t make it. Hope you had fun!

That is an awesome costume! I was a boring old devil this year. Slutty devil, of course.

Wow (or should I say - eewwww), that’s realistic! Walking around with a severed neck would make me uncomfortable, so you also score 10 points for bravery.

Ah’a! I knew your last post rang a bell. We just studied her in my Humanities class.
Very cool (and creepy!) costume. Looks very realistic. Ha!

Wow, that’s fabulously disgusting, with extra emphasis on fabulous. And here I am considering myself a quasi-expert on the Tudors. Catherine the Great, indeed…
K.
PS. I loved The Other Boleyn Girl . All of her books are great.

The costume is outstanding.
