Deja vu

A couple months ago I did an entry with all of my high school dance pictures. The very first one is from my 9th grade semi-formal, which I went to with Derrick, who I am now seeing seven years later.
Derrick’s little sister, Rachel, had her “semi” tonight, and I went to their house beforehand to do her makeup and take pictures. Her mother made her dress (as in, designed and sewed it, not forced her to put on clothes), and she looked a lot cooler than I did when I was 14. I’m not going to get into the emotions I went through, which would range from extremely sappy to incredibly old, but I will say one thing I was completely jealous of. Today, she had digital photography to capture it all. In 2000, I had a disposable Kodak.
