Finals are not the worst of it
May 7, 2006
This week is going to be so wonderful. And awful.
My girls play their final game on Thursday.
Wednesday marks my last day as a college sophomore…
And my last day as a teenager.
A new decade. The last one was packed with turbulence. I’m hoping for a smooth transition.
The weekend was incredible. Dan drove out of his way to see me Saturday, high gas prices and all. We watched The Amityville Horror and ate all of the best junk foods. The resulting smile lasted me all day. It finally started to fade a few moments ago, until I got the following message from one of my girls:
“Hey. I’ll miss having you as a coach. Youre like the only adult i can like make fun of and not get grounded.”
I’m therefore doomed to smile for at least another two hours.

Hey, growing up and moving on may not be so awful. :) Last year as an OFFICIAL teenager… doesn’t mean you have to jump into the world of adulthood all that quickly. Revel with me a few years longer as young and naive? Haha… ^^
Amityville Horror, huh? I heard mixed reviews about that movie. Did you watch the new release or the older ones? I just answered my own question by clicking on the link. So nevermind! :)
Your girls are sure sweet on you… you must be one hell of a coach. I would think so.
