This semester I pledged a sorority. I don’t know how it happened, but it did. And thanks to the stereotype brought about by shows like MTV’s “Sorority Life,” I was met with little more than “what?!” or, sometimes, “why?!” by friends who saw the letters in my profile. I have never been so completely involved in something or more satisfied with a decision. But it really is something that can only be understood by those involved.
And what’s more, I’m working at Abercrombie & Fitch (which means I’ll actually have to buy some of the clothes because, quite frankly, I can’t afford them without the discount).
Besides that, I’m back! Last semester was uncontrollable. For now I have a month of Christmas break and next semester’s writing-packed schedule to look forward to. I’m planning on attending classes through summer, with a small break in the middle during which I’ll be in Ukraine. I’ve been working on my book extensively. I finally feel like it’s going somewhere. And besides, if I do get published within the next two years, I’ll have to have my own website, right?
Media Notes
The Constant Princess, Philippa Gregory’s newest novel, published.
Pride and Prejudice released.
The Chronicles of Narnia released.
The Gauntlet II - Mondays at 10:00pm EST.

Which sorority did you pledge? I was in Alpha Omicron Pi… and yea, all of my friends were like “what the hell!?” when I decided to ‘go greek’ because they thought that was SO uncharacteristic of me. haha But yea, once you’re in one, you understand that those mtv sororities are really… well, a bit odd! hah :)

A&F is extremely expensive. It’s crazy. I really don’t even like alot of their things. so I guess that’s good.

Ooh Abercrombie & Fitch ay? I hate those jobs where you have to wear their stuff. And it’s always the expensive stores! Not fair. I know 4 years sounds like ages! But it does feel like we”ve been together for ever. I spose cos we started going out whn i was 16 its like he’s always been there :D
Can’t wait to read your book! Be sure to sell them online when it’s published so i can order one! :D

Wow, good luck on the sorority thing. I did not know that Johnny Depp was nominated for an award for that movie. I personally think it bombed but oh well. Kudo’s to him right?

Congratulations on joining a sorority! I, too, am pledging for one, Sigma Alpha Iota. Contrary to popular belief, some sororities are really worth it, and is actually a good experience to go through in college. Hope you enjoy your sisterhood =)

I’ve only been into an A&F store once and couldn’t figure out which clothes were guys and which were girls lol…I guess I’m just not into fashion. Good luck on the book! I wish I could pull something like that off.
