Quickly, a day

April 20, 2008

Emma and I met Andrea and Jennie for an early brunch this morning. Then we had cupcakes.

And Jennie left us.

So we frolicked over to Oakland and Pitt.

Can you see the city there on the left? Sure you can.

We went to Phipps, the flower place.

Time passed.

In the meantime, here are some answers to your questions.

Ray asks, which celebrity would you most like to sleep with?

Joseph Fiennes.

Nom asks, are you like the blog version of Google and Wikipedia - being able to answer my questions?

Yes. And to answer your real question, a portion of my second floor looks over the first floor. That’s how I took the overhead shot.

Katrina asks, what’s your favorite part about Pittsburgh? Why? Least favorite? Why?

Favorite - The people, because they’re devoted and witty. Least favorite - The winter. Because it sucks.

christina asks, what did you dream about last night?

I’m not sure, but I believe it involved a vacuum and the valley of death.

Alicia asks, is there any music that just, um, screams spring to you?

Whatever it is, it’s probably acoustic. Dave Matthews Band?

Andrea asks, if your dog was a girl, what would you have named her?

Ophelia.

Chachi asks, if you were cheese what kind of cheese would you be?

Sharp cheddar.

Jennie asks, WHO’S YOUR DADDY???

Your boyfriend, Dave.

nicolle asks, how many layouts did you have before you settled on this one?

I can’t see myself actually settling on a layout, ever. I’d say I’ve had about 20. Before this one, the layout was similar, except that the content column was in the middle. Before that they all had two columns, and on previous domains, they were a mess of tables, glitter, and fluff.

Emma asks, are you completely excited for tomorrow?

No.

To everyone else: The group in the picture was, indeed, playing Magic. And I had nothing to do with it.

Tonight there is holdem. We’re at about 12:42 AM with a $5 buy-in. There’s blood on the walls.

The other walls.

In the poker photo, I dig how the camera flash has cast a faint echo of the room on the wall behind Norm.

    Also: Yuengling instead of Keystone!

Damn. Well, forward the Magic questions on to your friends.

The Conservatory there looks a lot like the Conservatory here. I spend a fair amount of time at mine in the winter, but nothing really compares to native plants popping up out of the ground.

Which they’re all doing at once right now. I think my sinus cavities are going to explode.

Is it too late to ask questions? Not that I have one right now, but I might later.

Mmm. I agree with your likes/dislikes about Pittsburgh. However, I think the bridges are a tie with the people. I don’t know why, I JUST CAN’T GET OVER THE BRIDGES. You would think I never saw a bridge before? But that’s not true.

    Maybe it’s because they’re yellow.

Yay Cathedral of Learning! Mah favorite building on campus!
