Sex and the City of Pittsburgh
May 31, 2008
A theater close to me, one of the newly-built, large, flashy cinemas, opened Sex and the City last night, and you would think that Pittsburgh was holding the national red carpet premier with all of the big hair, heels, tiny sequin dresses, and groups of squealing BFF’s flooding the surrounding Waterfront.
I didn’t see it, but I’m going tonight. My mother and sister have been contemplating possible outfits for the past two weeks.

Did you make that comic?! The Penguins jersey! The Miller! That’s awesome!
I wondered why Homestead smelled of perfume last night…

Ohhh! I want to go and watch! By the time I come back and get out to see it, the hype will all be over.
That could be a good thing though :)

I am missing the show of anxious moviegoers, as we don’t have quite the buzz here in Germany. But at least, I have found a theater playing it in English!

See, the main reason I’m *not* going is so that I don’t spend time with people like that.
Call me snooty, but mid-30s fangirls never did it for me.

What did you think of the movie?
June 2nd, 2008 at 12:59 pm
L - For the entire week beforehand, I was yelling at people to stop telling me how wonderful it was going to be because then it would be over-hyped, and I wouldn’t like it as much as I could’ve liked it because I was expecting so much more.
So that’s pretty much exactly what happened.
It was ok.

so… i never really watched the show, but i thought the movie was cute. t
here were so many over-dressed girls freezing their asses at the theater, it was comical.
my two girlfriends that i went with were trying to plan outfits and i was all “i’m wearing jeans a a teeshirt. i’ve had a boyfriend for four years sister, please.”

If I had a theater near me, I would have just gone and people-watched during “Sex and the City” opening weekend. It might have been more entertaining than the movie itself.
