      The Five People you Meet on Airplanes

      August 8, 2005

      Hotel in Cali

      Over the past two days, I’ve set foot in Arizona, Los Angeles, El Segundo, Dallas, and Charlotte. If only traveling weren’t so expensive, I would glady fly to several random cities on any given weekend, as long as I could spend more than two hours in each.One thing I noticed in El Segundo was the abundance of flowers. The airport was surrounded by gardens and palm trees. My hotel was covered in them. They were everywhere. Everything just seemed so…taken care of.The contest went well and the flights were wonderful. While airborne, I met a Korean mother of 12 (Bo-Bae), a 10-year-old linedancer (Becky), a Filipino man in the bottled-water business (Bayanai), a 20-something Italian girl who was running away to a new life (Andria), and an eccentric hippie photographer (who went by Raisin). I hearby swear to travel more, and often.

        Wow, at first I thought you meant a Korean mother of a 12-year-old and then I realized you meant of 12 kids ^^;

        This world has lots of interesting people (: Traveling is fun ^^

        Wow, and *I* thought you meant a Korean mother that was 12 years old!

        Oh, Rachel, your comment left my heart all warm and fuzzy :) I really am proud and happy to have you a hostee - really, truly, deeply. I get proud reading your writing, and I think, “hey cool, I host that chick!”

        Aeroplanes scare me. Turbulence is evil.

        I absolutely love airports! I’ve met the most interesting people either on the plane or waiting for the plane. :P

        Thanks for your sweet comment. I’m glad your had a nice time travelling to those different cities. My aunt moved to Arizona from Wales (where I live) and she said it was too hot, so she moved to Chicago then. :) I have always wanted to visit Los Angeles! Your lucky to go there. Glad you had good flights, too. I love flying! I recently flew back from a trip to Cyprus and Egypt! ^_^
