New things to come, a turn of events, and needing your help
January 1, 2008
My apartment is empty, The Office is on, and the semester resumes in one week. All together I tossed out or donated twelve large trash bags of stuff that I’ve been carrying around with me since my first year of college. It was a painful ordeal, finally deciding to abandon my freshman College Algebra folder and the shower caddy I used for the four months I lived in a dorm.
If you read the last entry, you know that I was desperate to find someplace (cheap) to live this year. I tend to move around a lot due to either school transfers or extreme boredom, and while the former doesn’t happen too often anymore, I still find it difficult to hold still. If something out of the ordinary arises, I usually go for it.
That’s why when a wealthy couple offered to let me live in their house in exchange for becoming the caretaker, I agreed pretty much immediately. More on that later.
Finally…
I’ve been following the Bloggies since I was 15. I never really promoted any of my websites, but I thought that along with a resolution of being less daunted by such things, I’m asking for help. Nominations began today and will last until January 11th. If you decide to vote, will you consider adding ThatNight to the “best-kept secret weblog” category?
It would make my year.
Also, if there’s a certain category you’re eying for yourself, leave it in the comments and I’ll be sure to reciprocate on my ballot.

I definitely know the feeling of getting rid of college clutter. It hurts my heart to do it, but it has to be done.
