Urban ladybug

One nice thing about college, besides beer pong, is the ability to generally form your own schedule around how often you want to be lectured consecutively. I piled everything on Tuesdays this semester, straight through from 12:30 to 9:30, with some minor overflow on Thursdays.

As I sit here between Biology and Psychology, trying to throw an entry together, this ladybug flies in the room and lands on my armrest. And I couldn’t deny its ambition.

So here you go.

Remember that year the ladybugs took over everything?? it was like out of a movie or something. I hope that doesn’t happen again.

I have two ladybugs sitting in the corner of my ceiling, seemingly afraid to come down. Understandable, as I have just squashed a huge beetle just a few feet away from them.

If they knew me at all, they wouldn’t be worried. I don’t squish ladybugs.

They’d certainly fit on the list. =) I like the bright red ladybugs much better than the more orange colored ones.

    aww cute!

    It’s good luck!

Also, I was reading the “will life be worth living in 2000″ link, and ha! They got somethings right, but food sans nutritional value? Trash refrigerated and pressed into fertilizer pellets? A rotating roof?

I guess they say dream big …

They say that ladybugs are good luck. There were a bunch in the delivery room when my son was born. Don’t know whether I should be happy they brought luck or creeped out that they were able to get in there – and that was the year of the ladybugs.

Ohhhh. So adorable. It reminds me of a close encounter I had with a caterpillar during a seminar class. I was a little stir-crazy that term and was actually planning to take her/him home and set him/her up with some leaves and space to chill, but a saner head prevailed and released my little friend outside. Sigh.

Beautiful, beautiful photos. And that “Be careful” site is cracking me up.

I love lady bugs and the photos are so sweet! I always scheduled my course so I had none on Friday or on Monday mornings.

    That’s really cool!! I like the photos…
That was always my favorite bit about college too, choosing your schedule. The past two semester I have had free Fridays and I love it. :)

Beer pong is a good thing, really? I have seen it played once, and have never played myself. Then again I was quite the barhopper in my youth, no need for drinking games, I was playing ‘irritate the bartender by ordering insane drinks and making up drinks”. It was fun, I liked it alot. Less now because I want the bartenders to like me and not charge me for everything I drink as scotch is expensive.
