Week 7 - In case you’ve only recently started reading
November 10, 2007
First: Hey! Thanks for reading!
Next, if you’ve been noticing the puppy pictures peppered throughout the posts (five times fast?), you should know that I do not have a puppy in my possession, but that the breeder sends me weekly updates with pictures, and that I will be picking him up for real on December 10th.
He might be a little monster. I have no idea at this point. I’m pledging not to become one of those people, wherein every post I write has puppy news and puppy antics and pictures of puppy progressions, but it seems I’m already halfway there.
I’ve been waiting a long time for this and I’m really very excited.

It’s fun to look at the progression.
They get big so fast!

I think you should start doing a LOLcats type of thing with the puppy picture!

Good call, Frank.

Does he have a name yet?

Jamie - Yes! Bello. (pronounced Bay-low)

The only reason I’m not one of those people is that my dog does not often sit still long enough for me to produce non blurry, non nose-smudged pictures of her.
My friend Emily adopted a Yorkie earlier this year, and Hazel [her pup] has the sweetest disposition, but loves to chew on EVERYTHING. Especialy shoes. And keys. And trash.

The cuteness!
Man, I want a dog so bad. You’re so lucky!

Laura - I agree! I was all over the place for a long time looking for a Yorkie rescue and just wasn’t coming up with anything. My family just adopted a German Shepherd rescue named Timber. I really admire those who adopt and work with rescues.

Aww. Cute puppy. Squishy. I recon it’s okay to become “all-puppy, all-the-time” when you’re in the immediate throes of the new-puppy-glow (it’s like having a baby, only hopefully with more fur!)

Could I, umm, HAVE your puppy? He is adorable!
